What is a chai khana?

A chai khana is a teahouse — but the word carries more than tea. For centuries, from Herat to Istanbul, it was the place a town gathered: where travelers rested their feet, elders traded the day's news, and a stranger was handed a full glass before they'd said a word.

Every homeland at one table

Our menu doesn't belong to one country — it belongs to a whole region that has always shared its roads, its recipes, and its hospitality. Afghan green tea beside Persian saffron, Turkish coffee beside Pakistani karak, and sweets from every kitchen in between.

Come as you are

You don't need a reason to visit a chai khana. Come to work, to meet a friend, or to sit alone with a good cup. Stay five minutes or all afternoon — there's always another pot.
